BNXT League - Charleroi recrute l'ailier américain Juwan Gary

Gary, 24 ans, arrive en provenance de l'université de Nebraska aux États-Unis où il a compilé 14,6 points et 5,1 rebonds de moyenne la saison dernière. L'imposant ailier (1m98, 103 kg) va donc vivre sa première expérience en tant que professionnel avec le Spirou.

L'Américain est le cinquième renfort des Carolos pour la prochaine saison après ses compatriotes Dontrez Styles et Zeb Jackson, le Français Lionel Colson et le Bosnien Njegos Sikiras.

Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe is verheugd met komst Evenepoel: "Meer dan mijlpaal voor de ploeg"

Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe heeft zich verzekerd van de diensten van Remco Evenepoel voor de komende seizoenen. Hij verlaat Soudal Quick-Step eind dit jaar. Dat maakten beide partijen dinsdag bekend. Na enkele vruchteloze pogingen de voorbije jaren slaagde Ralph Denk zo in zijn opzet. De CEO van het Duitse WorldTour-team is al een hele tijd een groot bewonderaar van de dubbele olympische kampioen. "Remco staat voor ambitie. Hij wil de wielersport mee vormgeven", liet Denk optekenen in het persbericht van zijn ploeg.

Ralph Denk, CEO de Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe, s'est réjoui de l'arrivée de Remco Evenepoel dans l'équipe allemande en 2026. "Remco veut marquer le cyclisme", a déclaré le dirigeant dans un communiqué sur le site de la formation.

Portugese ex-international Jorge Costa op 53-jarige leeftijd overleden

Jorge Costa is dinsdag op 53-jarige leeftijd aan een hartaanval overleden. Dat deelde zijn club FC Porto mee. Costa speelde van 1990 tot 2005 voor zijn jeugdclub Porto, waar hij nu technisch directeur was. In 2006 sloot de verdediger zijn spelersloopbaan bij Standard Luik af.
