Roland-Garros - Australian Open-winnaars Alexander Lantermann en Luna Gryp ook in Parijs naar finale

Bij de meisjes schakelde 's werelds nummer een Gryp, zeventien jaar, de Colombiaanse Paula Michelle Lopez Meza (ITF-5) met 6-4 en 7-5 uit. Voor de titel moet ze ook nog de Japanse Seira Matsuoka (ITF-2) verslaan.

WK 2026 - Zweden wint ondanks scorende Nilsson niet van Griekenland in laatste oefenmatch voor WK

Zweden heeft dondrdag in zijn uitwuifwedstrijd voor het WK voetbal in de Verenigde Staten, Canada en Mexico niet kunnen winnen van Griekenland. Gustaf Nilsson (Club Brugge) leek lange tijd de matchwinnaar te worden voor de Zweden, maar in het slot maakte Griekenland er alsnog 2-2 van.

WK 2026 - WK-tegenstander Iran verslaat Mali met 2-0 in oefenmatch

Iran heeft donderdag zijn laatste oefenwedstrijd in aanloop naar het WK voetbal in de Verenigde Staten, Canada en Mexico gewonnen. Het versloeg Mali met 2-0, dankzij doelpunten van Saeid Ezatolahi (12.) en Ramin Rezaeian (55.).

BOIC en BPC smelten samen tot Belgisch Olympisch & Paralympisch Comité

Het Belgisch Olympisch en Interfederaal Comité (BOIC) en het Belgian Paralympic Committee (BPC) smelten samen. Vanaf 1 januari 2027 vormen ze samen het Belgisch Olympisch & Paralympisch Comité (BOPC). Donderdag werd de fusie goedgekeurd op de algemene vergaderingen van beide organisaties.

EK U17 2026 - Italië schakelt Spanje uit en is de tegenstander van de jonge Duivels in de finale

Italië heeft zich donderdagavond in Estland als tweede land geplaatst voor de finale van het Europees kampioenschap voetbal bij de U17. In de halve finale klopte het Spanje na strafschoppen. In de finale neemt Italië het op tegen België.

Luna Gryp s'est qualifiée pour la finale du tournoi juniors filles de tennis en fauteuil de Roland-Garros, jeudi, en France. Gryp, N.1 mondiale, a battu en demi-finales la Colombienne Paula Michelle Lopez Meza (ITF 5) 6-4, 7-5 en 1 heure et 17 minutes.
