Hockey Pro League - Red Panthers beginnen met 3-0-overwinning tegen Engeland in Pro League

Woensdag en zaterdag nemen de Belgen het tegen Ierland (FIH-13) op, vrijdag is Engeland opnieuw de tegenstander. De Belgen kunnen in Dublin niet rekenen op Louise Dewaet, Lisa Moors en Camille Belis. Zij verdedigen de Belgische kleuren op het WK U21 in Chili.

MLS - Messi voor de tweede keer meest waardevolle speler in MLS, voor Anders Dreyer

Lionel Messi is net als vorig jaar verkozen tot waardevolste speler van het seizoen in de Amerikaanse competitie MLS. De 38-jarige Argentijn leidde Inter Miami naar een eerste titel. Hij is de eerste speler die twee keer op rij tot MVP verkozen wordt. In zijn eerste seizoen voor Miami moest hij de eer nog aan de Argentijn Luciano Acosta laten.

Challenge Cup volleybal - Aalst wint vlot in Azerbeidzjan

Aalst heeft dinsdag in zijn heenwedstrijd van de zestiende finales in de Challenge Cup voor mannenteams vlot met 0-3 gewonnen bij het Azerbeidzjaanse Khilasedichi Bakoe. Het werd 17-25, 22-25 en 23-25. De terugwedstrijd wordt op woensdag 7 januari gespeeld.

Youth League - 1-4-nederlaag tegen Marseille betekent uitschakeling voor Union

Op de zesde en laatste speeldag in de League Phase van de Youth League heeft Union Sint-Gillis dinsdag in het Joseph Mariënstadion een 1-4-nederlaag geleden tegen Marseille. Na één overwinning, één gelijkspel en vier nederlagen staat Union voorlopig op de dertigste plaats.Om zich voor de zestiende finales te plaatsen was top 22 nodig.
