WK zwemmen - Roos Vanotterdijk vlot naar halve finales 100m rugslag

De 20-jarige Vanotterdijk tikte in de Singapore Sports Hub aan in 59.37. Daarmee bleef ze ruim onder haar Belgische record (56.78). De halve finale staat later vandaag op het programma.

Om 13.10 uur (Belgische tijd) zwemt Vanotterdijk eerst nog de finale van de 100 meter vlinderslag. De Limburgse zwom een Belgisch record (56.07) in de halve finales. Samen met de Amerikaanse wereldrecordhoudster Gretchen Walsh, heeft ze de snelste tijd van alle finalisten.

Na-Tourcriterium Aalst - Thibau Nys en Tim Merlier genieten van volkstoeloop in Aalst: "Blij zoveel fans te zien"

Thibau Nys heeft er zijn eerste Ronde van Frankrijk opzitten. De 22-jarige Lidl-Trekrenner sloot zijn eerste Tour af met een 116e plaats in het eindklassement. "Het is niet de Tour de France geworden waarop ik had gehoopt", keek hij maandag terug op het na-Tourcriterium in Aalst.

Na-Tourcriterium Aalst - Oliver Naesen rijdt enkel in Aalst: "Een criterium en dan rust inlassen na een zware Tour"

Oliver Naesen sloot zijn tiende Tour de France zondag af op een 73e plaats. De 34-jarige renner van Decathlon-AG2R La Mondiale reed in dienst van kopman Félix Gall, die de Tour als vijfde afsloot op 17:12 van winnaar Tadej Pogacar. Maandag blikte hij terug op het na-Tourcriterium van Aalst, het enige criterium dat hij dit jaar afwerkt.

Critérium d'après-Tour - Victor Campenaerts va préparer en Espagne la suite de la saison et veut aller aux Mondiaux

Victor Campenaerts (Visma-Lease a Bike) a été chaleureusement accueilli lundi au critérium d'après-Tour d'Alost qu'il avait remporté l'an dernier. L'Anversois sort d'un 'excellent Tour de France passé au service de son leader le Danois Jonas Vingegaard, 2e du classement final.

Tour de France Femmes - Demi Vollering gaat naar ziekenhuis voor controle na val in derde Tourrit

Demi Vollering heeft pijn aan haar knie, rug en heup na de val in de derde etappe van de Tour de France Femmes. De Nederlandse is naar het ziekenhuis voor een controle, meldde teammanager Stephen Delcourt van haar ploeg FDJ-Suez aan verschillende media. De rit van maandag werd gewonnen door de Nederlandse Lorena Wiebes.

Na-Tourcriterium Aalst - Victor Campenaerts kijkt al uit naar najaar: "In Spanje opnieuw opbouwen voor wat volgt"

Victor Campenaerts (Visma-Lease a Bike) wist vorig jaar het na-Tourcriterium van Aalst te winnen. Hij had toen enkele dagen eerder de achttiende etappe in de Tour op zak gestoken. In de voorbije Tour kwam hij opnieuw dicht bij een ritoverwinning, maar Tim Wellens stak hem de loef af in Carcassonne. Campenaerts werd in Aalst maandag onder luid applaus begroet.

Grand Prix Raf Jonckheere - Dries De Bondt s'impose en solitaire à Westrozebeke

Dries De Bondt (Decathlon-AG2R La Mondiale) a remporté le 74e Grand Prix Raf Jonckheere cycliste, lundi à Westrozebeke, après quatorze tours du circuit local et 176,4 kilomètres de course. L'Anversois de 34 ans s'est imposé dans cette course professionnelle du calendrier national après une échappée solitaire lancée dans le dernier tour.
