Tour de France - Tadej Pogacar is mathematisch zeker van bolletjestrui

Wereldkampioen Pogacar leidt na de eerste bergsprint van de voorlaatste Touretappe van zaterdag het bergklassement met 117 punten, dertien meer dan eerste achtervolger Jonas Vingegaard. De rest van deze Tour zijn er nog maar twaalf bergpunten te verdienen.

Pogacar won de iconische bolletjestrui ook al in 2020 en 2021. Vorig jaar kroonde de Ecuadoriaan Richard Carapaz zich tot bergkoning en finishte Pogacar als tweede in het bergklassement. De laatste Belgische bergkoning in de Tour is Lucien Van Impe in 1983.

Morgan Gibbs-White heeft zijn contract bij Nottingham Forest verlengd tot de zomer van 2028, zo maakte de Engelse eersteklasser zaterdagavond bekend via sociale media. De Engelse international (4 caps) stond deze zomer volgens mediaberichten nochtans op het punt om naar Tottenham Hotspur te vertrekken, maar ondertekende bij de Trees nu een "recordcontract".

Runners City Night Berlijn - Chloé Herbiet na BR: "Mensen moeten mij eraan herinneren dat ik Europees kampioene ben"
