Korn Ferry Tour - Dumont de Chassart opent met ronde van 67 slagen in Price Cutter Charity Championship

Dumont de Chassart leverde een scorekaart af waarop vijf birdies stonden. Met zijn ronde van vijf onder par telt de Brabander vijf slagen meer dan de Amerikaan Chandler Blanchet, die met twee eagles en zes birdies een foutloze eerste ronde neerzette van tien onder par. Blachet deed een slag beter dan zijn landgenoten Austin Hitt en Neal Shipley.

Door de intredende duisternis donderdag moesten nog een aantal golfers vrijdagochtend hun eerste ronde verder afwerken.

Tour de France - Drieluik in Pyreneeën eindigt zaterdag met loodzware etappe naar Luchon-Superbagnères

Daags na de klimtijdrit op Peyragudes wacht het Tourpeloton opnieuw een zware opdracht. De veertiende etappe van zaterdag is een van de meest veeleisende in deze hele Tour met onderweg vier Pyreneeëncols, waaronder de legendarische Tourmalet en de slotklim van Superbagnères.

Tour de France - Late aanpassing van tijdslimiet zorgt voor ergernis, maar redt huid van Merlier

Er is vrijdag tijdens de Tour de France commotie ontstaan over de late beslissing van de jury en organisatie om de tijdslimiet voor de klimtijdrit te verhogen van 33% naar 40% van de winnende tijd. Tegelijk bleek dat de beslissing de huid van tweevoudig ritwinnaar Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step) heeft gered.

Rally van Estland - Solberg vergroot zijn voorsprong op Tänak, Neuville schuift op naar derde plaats

Op het einde van de tweede wedstrijddag van de Rally van Estland rijdt Olivier Solberg (Toyota Yaris) aan de leiding. De Zweed heeft een voorsprong van 12,4 seconden op eerste achtervolger Ott Tänak (Toyota Yaris). Thierry Neuville (Hyundai i20 N) is opgeschoven naar de derde plaats en volgt op 14,2 seconden van Solberg.

Tour de France - Evenepoel is diep ontgoocheld na klimtijdrit: "Het was superslecht"

Na twee echte bergritten in de Tour de France heeft Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) al meer dan zeven minuten achterstand in het algemene klassement. Na zijn ontgoochelende klimtijdrit van vrijdag naar Peyragudes, waarin hij slechts twaalfde werd, stak een aangeslagen Evenepoel zich niet weg.

Baloise Ladies Tour - Nienke Veenhoven, après son 1er succès pro: "J'ai reçu beaucoup de confiance de l'équipe"

Nienke Veenhoven a remporté la deuxième étape du Baloise Ladies Tour de cyclisme vendredi à Olsene. La Néerlandaise de 21 ans a été la plus rapide à l'issue d'un sprint massif, devançant de peu Barbara Guarischi et Karolina Kumiega. Veenhoven a ainsi remporté la première victoire de sa carrière professionnelle.
