BNXT League - Ostende attire l'Américain Aaron Estrada

Estrada, 1m90, a obtenu une moyenne de 9,2 points, 3,2 rebonds et 3,5 assists par match de G-League la saison dernière. Il a participé cet été à la NBA Summer League avec les Memphis Grizzlies. Avant de porter le maillot de Motor City Cruise, Estrada évoluait dans des équipes universitaires: à Saint Peter's (2019-2020), Oregon (2020-2021), Hofstra (2021-2023) et Alabama (2023-2024).

Estrada est la 6e recrue estivale du club côtier après les Américains Jordan Schakel, Kevin Obanor et Max Fiedler, tous trois également issus de la G-League, le Danois-Israélien Noam Yaacov et Moussa Noterman.

Pierre-Antoine Gillet werd vrijdag in Oostende door de Belgische basketbalbond gehuldigd voor aanvang van de wedstrijd tussen de Belgian Lions en Groot-Brittannië. De partij dient als voorbereiding op het komende EK basketbal, dat van 27 augustus tot 14 september plaatsvindt.

Euro de hockey - Le sélectionneur néerlandais Raoul Ehren espère revoir les Panthers en finale

Raoul Ehren espère une finale contre les Red Panthers lors du championnat d'Europe de hockey. C'est ce qu'a déclaré vendredi l'entraîneur national des hockeyeuses néerlandaises, après que son équipe se soit qualifiée pour la finale à Mönchengladbach grâce à une victoire 3-1 contre l'Espagne. Dimanche, elle affrontera la Belgique ou l'Allemagne.

Jupiler Pro League - Westerlo verkoopt Matija Frigan aan Parma

Matija Frigan is niet langer een speler van Westerlo. De 22-jarige Kroaat verlaat de Kemphanen en zet zijn carrière verder in de Serie A bij Parma. Beide ploegen maakten de overgang vrijdag bekend. Westerlo zou zo'n tien miljoen euro vangen voor de aanvaller, die een contract voor vijf seizoenen ondertekende in Italië. Hij wordt bij Parma een teamgenoot van Mandela Keita.

EK hockey (v) - Nederlandse bondscoach Raoul Ehren hoopt Panthers terug te zien in finale

Raoul Ehren hoopt op een finale tegen de Red Panthers op het EK hockey. Dat vertelde de bondscoach van de Nederlandse hockeysters vrijdag, nadat zijn team zich in Mönchengladbach met een 3-1-zege tegen Spanje voor de finale geplaatst had. Daarin is België of Duitsland zondag de tegenstander.
