Conference League - Strasbourg-Belgen verliezen heenduel halve finales tegen Vallecano

Bij het Franse Strasbourg begonnen Rode Duivels Diego Moreira en Mike Penders in de basis en beide spelers stonden een hele wedstrijd tussen de lijnen. Pas na rust viel het eerste en enige doelpunt van de wedstrijd. De Braziliaan Alemão (54.) opende de score voor de Spanjaarden door een hoekschop voorbij Penders tegen de netten te koppen.

In Shakhtar Donetsk tegen Crystal Palace kwamen de bezoekers al in de openingsminuut op voorsprong. Ismaila Sarr nam een bal van Jean-Philippe Mateta goed mee en trapte vervolgens droog in de verste hoek. Ook na rust viel er een snel doelpunt, maar dan aan de overkant. Het was Oleg Ocheretko (47.) die op aangeven van Kaua Elias van dichtbij de bordjes weer in evenwicht bracht. De vreugde bij Shakhtar was echter van korte duur, want nog voor het uur maakte Daichi Kamada (58.), ex-STVV, er met een rake knal 1-2 van voor Crystal Palace. Diezelfde Kamada gaf de assist voor de 1-3 van Jorgen Strand Larsen (84.), waardoor Crystal Palace met een dubbele bonus terug richting Engeland kon trekken.

De terugwedstrijden van deze twee duels staan op 7 mei op het programma. De finale wordt op 27 mei in Leipzig gespeeld.

EK squash landenteams - Belgische vrouwen plaatsen zich voor halve finales
